Its nearly September!

29/08/24 - Can you believe it's nearly September, where has the year gone! 

This week has been very busy for me as a business owner professionally as a health clinician working abroad. I am currently doing a locum contract in Queensland, Australia and it's getting super-hot, reaching the 30s most days and as humid as ever. I have been filling up my days with lots of clients and home safety assessments then coming home to all things business that require lots of my attention. 

Since moving to Australia nearly a year ago now I have found managing my business from afar has had its challenges, but it is also very rewarding seeing my business grow. This week in particular has been super busy, we have had all types of events; concerts, awards, weddings and birthdays. We (my team and me on facetime) have also been attending viewings for a new commercial space for the new year and can say that we have super tough decisions to make moving forward. 

Among the good, there has also been a few not so good things that have been happening within the realm of OFH, mostly things that are out of our control. Systemic issues I would say, nothing that will knock us down but barriers that we have to overcome to keep our business running i.e. theft and crime in and around our shop. I won't go too much into it, but I will say that it has been very hard to make decisions surrounding security these past weeks. I want to take the time to thank my team and my trusty lease manager who have helped me navigate these issues from afar.

Good luck to everyone at the Pacific Music Awards tonight, I hope everyone has fun at Josh Tatofi tomorrow (jealous) and party vibes going to our other girls that are attending events elsewhere
